I grew up in a house full of medical providers. My dad and my grandpa were both doctors. So I was always exposed to that, really enjoyed what they did and the difference it made with people. But I also really liked working with my hands, building things, doing all the Legos, that sort of thing. So I thought about going into engineering too, but then really dentistry was kind of the perfect blend of everything where I can be a healthcare provider, help people with their problems. Also, work with my hands, make things look really nice, turn things from broken into fixed and just making a difference with people.
The most rewarding part about being a dentist for me is really about just seeing patients have a good experience because I know going to the dentist is not the most fun thing in the world. What we do just isn’t the most to undergo, but my whole kind of mission has been to reverse that stigma associated with dentistry, have them have a good experience, make it really personal for them. And when they walk away just happy with how things went, hearing that, “Oh, that was much better than I expected.” That just makes me really happy and is exactly what we’re trying to do as an office.
Dr. Matt Rohlf Puts His Patients First
Dr. Matt Rohlf grew up in Davenport, Iowa and graduated from the University of St. Thomas. As an undergraduate, dentistry was solidified for him through volunteering as an assistant at the Union Gospel Mission Dental Clinic in downtown St. Paul and through great shadowing experiences with doctors around the St. Thomas campus. Dr. Rohlf earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Iowa where he received the Deans Leadership Award.
Dr. Rohlf understands a trip to the dentist can be a nerve-racking experience. That is why he makes it his goal to provide a friendly, relaxing, and non-judgmental environment. He always does his best to reverse the stigma associated with dental appointments and make them a positive experience. He also volunteers his time at Hope Dental Clinic every month, performing emergency tooth removals to relieve patients of pain.
In the summer of 2022 after providing care at Wyoming Dental for two years, Dr. Rohlf purchased the practice. He is excited to continue to bring advanced procedures and technology to his patients. His focus is on providing top quality care, comfort, and a positive dental experience for them.
When he’s not practicing dentistry, Dr. Rohlf enjoys exploring Minnesota with his wife Veronica and friends, live music, fishing, cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes, and struggling on the golf course.

These people are the dental dream team. I am so lucky I moved and needed to change dentists. I was a little heartbroken to leave Park, but after my first cleaning walking out I felt so good. It was actually fun. I got a referral to visit Wyoming Dental from a local and later found out they don’t even go there! Their loss, cause I found my dentist for life.
The team is so friendly and efficient and truly care about your experience and it is so noticeable.

I just need to give a shout out to Dr. Matt and his team. Finally at the age of 60 I have found a dentist that I can trust and feel comfortable with. I have avoided at all costs going to the dentist for years and sadly have tried many. When my friend Chell told me about Wyoming Dental I was ready to give it a shot. A personal invite from someone you trust is huge! After 10 years of not having a chewing surface on my right side, it’s been fixed. Dr. Matt suggested a bridge over an implant due to protecting the teeth on either side of the bridge tooth. I am super excited, it is not uncomfortable, it is not sensitive to hot or cold now I just need to learn to use it again. Thank You Dr. Matt and the Wyoming Dental Team!!!!

The most comfortable I’ve ever felt at a dentist office! I was in good hands with Becca and Dr. Matt, who were both incredibly gentle and put me at ease.

Very inviting, clean, and comfortable when I walked in. My hygienist was amazing, friendly and did a great job. She made so comfortable and just like I said amazing. Dentist Matt very friendly also and very informative. Acknowledged all my dental work I’ve had done which is a lot of different things. Very happy with my first visit.

Love my experience with this dentist office. Each visit I am very well informed on what needs to be completed, how it will be done, any changes and a great plan for healthy teeth and gums going forward!
